Rotorua foodies are spoilt for choice with Che Chorizo Argentinian BBQ Restaurant and South American Tapas Restaurant in Rotorua, adding to the long list of esteemed eateries the city boasts.
Business partners Eduardo Diaz and Cristian Torres opened the Argentinian restaurant, Che Chorizo.
The restaurant sits on Arawa St at the site formerly housing the Belgian Bar.
Mr Diaz described the cuisine as "Argentinian barbecue" and said customers could expect a good mix of authentic tapas and main dishes.
"People who come to Che Chorizo will get an experience unlike any other in Rotorua and probably New Zealand.
"There are many South American restaurants around the country which is why we have endeavoured to do something a bit different and give customers the whole package."
Mr Diaz said live music would often be booked, ensuring diners were entertained throughout the evening.
"There is already a well established Latin American community in Rotorua who have been yearning for a place to celebrate their culture and we are hoping to provide that. However, this is a place for everyone, locals and tourists, we just want to share our passion for food, music and dance."
